Charming but staff could improve
Waking up in a spacious suite with well-decorated interiors was good, as was enjoying the serene atmosphere of the historical surroundings.
The front desk staff's lack of responsiveness to our requests was frustrating, and the breakfast selection could have benefitted from more variety.

The location is top. The market was great and to the Baltic Sea there are 10 stations by train ( 30 min )
The people in Riga itself were not very friendly (train station, shops, restaurants) The difference between rich and poor was already very big, you don't see so many expensive cars in St. Moritz and then the poor pensioners and workers. One night we could not sleep at all, because some Russian roommates were partying very loudly, but only one night otherwise it was very quiet.

I thoroughly enjoyed the classic-style building, normal double room with outdoor terrace. The breakfast was varied and great with gluten free bread and cheese, for example, perfect to start my day.

The garden palace has spacious rooms with clean bathrooms and a lovely balcony overlooking the courtyard. It's well located just a short stroll to the old town. The free wifi was reliable and really helpful .
the breakfast could use a bit more variety.

Had a boss stay here! The location is proper sound, just a stone’s throw from the old town. The comfy bed felt like a dream! But the breakfast was a bit of a letdown, proper cold food and not enough tables, you know what I mean?

The reception by the night receptionist was poor, but from the next day we were compensated by a friendly receptionist named Daria. The location. Top. Breakfast was ok except for the queue at the coffee machine.
Despite early booking and with requests for ideas, the room (410) was bad. The next day we moved to room 415, which, although larger, conveyed the kitchen smells of the outbuilding when the window was open.

Very central location in the middle of the old town. Ideal for city trips.
The moldy joint at the shower. You can fix something like that with little effort.

Very good, central location. Staff friendly and very helpful.
No four stars, unfortunately. Rooms very differently equipped. Bar and restaurant closed during the whole stay.

Very good to erect and very nicely furnished - both the lobby and the rooms.
Unfortunately the room was not very clean. Both dust streaks and hairs on the carpet as well as individual hairs in bed and a small spot on the pillow. Mould stains in the shower.

Just a perfect match for a brief stop-in in Riga with extraordinarily good value for money. The cozy room had reliable free Wi-Fi, made planning our day super easy. Make sure to check out the lovely inner garden while you're there.

Atmospheric small place with marvellous and beautiful location really close to the airport shuttle, and visa / mastercard / american express. Varied and great breakfast, budget suite.

Breakfast was good.
No towels,or free bottle of water or tea,or coffee ,tv could not see properly,no signal. For 4 star hotel that is unacceptable.

The room was cramped, the smallest double I've ever seen, with a bed made from two singles pushed together. The floor was stained, and the TV faced the foot of the bed. There was no sitting space-just standing or perching on the end of the bed to watch. The curtain gap let in too much early summer light. The shared terrace was weirdly set up without chairs, and the bathroom showed some charm with antique tiles, but overall, it felt pretty shabby.
